Twelve Days of Holiday Cookies!
If you've had to decline community cookie sharing now that you're gluten-free, why not host your own cookie exchange this year? Its simple to do with this line-up of delicious gluten-free goodies. And your friends don't have to be gluten-free to enjoy them!
If you've never participated in a cookie exchange, here's what you do: Invite 10 or so of your friends and family to bake enough cookies for each person to take home between 5-12 cookies at the end of the party. Ask them to try one of the following recipes to ensure that you will also be leaving the party with a tin full of treats that you can enjoy, too. Or if one of your friends has a favorite recipe that they want translated to gluten-free, we can help! Just send a reply to this email.
Your guests can either bring the cookies already packaged for each person in a separate bag or container, or they can put them out on plates and let your attendees choose. Don't forget to have everyone (including you) bring an empty tin to fill up. At the end of the party, you'll walk away with an amazing assortment of cookies, and you only had to bake one kind! Children of course, love to participate, so let them help in the baking and packaging. Their efforts will be rewarded when you bring home ten different cookies to try.
Or if you have the time, and love to bake, you can try out one new gluten-free cookie recipe a day over the next 12 days. You'll have plenty to share at your holiday parties, and good leverage with Santa.
In addition to the recipes our Star Chefs submitted below, here's some super recipes from our community members, too. We're grateful for their participation:
Double Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies by Jessica Dean
Simple Shortbread by Amanda on Maui
Cinnamon Roll Cookies by TR Crumbley
Do you have a favorite gluten-free cookie recipe? We'd love to see it! You can upload your recipe anytime at Stuffed Pepper and we'll tweet it and share it on Facebook for you.
