On the bottom level of one of the best places in Toronto (The St. Lawrence Market) is Cruda Cafe, a green, locally grown, vegan, raw food cafe. It’s a great little cafe with a good sized menu and daily off-menu items as well. Jenn ordered the Gypsy Sandwich and a Hibiscus Water while I got the Raw Taco and the ‘Love Me Tender’ tart (had to get this because I’m obsessed with Elvis… and pink). We tried a bit of each others entrees and loved everything. The taco...
That's great that the entire staff is trained! Very important
Always good to call ahead. Although the staff is trained on gluten free dining, it is a true pleasure to call ahead and speak with the owner Darryl Wong. Most meals can be prepared to avoid other food allergies as well.
These ladies will take great care of you in their DEDICATED GF establishment. If you have additional food sensitivies, please call ahead to make sure they can accomodate your needs. Often have dairy free items available. As I wrote in my Examiner review...

Update - They do cook the pizza in a seperate area of the oven. They also offer goat cheese as a topping for anyone who is cow's milk sensitive. The last time I went, I really enjoyed the pizza and didn't get sick! But we did have to send the pizza back because the waiter messed up the toppings. I was in Dallas for the first time last month for the Gluten Free and Allergy Free Expo, and being a foodie at heart, I couldn't wait to try out some new restaurants. While several options were recommended to me, Asian Mint was the one restaurant that kept popping up in conversation with others at the Expo.
Having a gluten intolerance can make many Asian restaurants off limits. But the Asian Mint menu has gluten-free items bolded, making it very easy. Having a soy allergy (on top...
This Udi's Cafe is in a new planned, mixed-use community where the old Denver airport once was. There are only a few items on their entire menu that are not gluten-free, and any other food allergy that you have can be accommodated for, which is punched into the computer by the cashier.

I just discovered this restaurant, thanks for some fellow meetup friends. I'm pretty sure its going to become a favorite soon. They have a seperate gluten-free menu, and are also aware of other food allergies. I love that you can buy a dinner for four to take home, too! Definately will have hubby stop by on his way home, next time I'm in a pinch.
